Ryan Salata was taken into custody after providing officer's with a false name during an investigation. Salata admitted to giving the false name in order to avoid being arrested for an outstanding warrant.

During the week of June 5th thru June 11th this department investigated three motor vehicle accidents. In total five cars were involved, four required towing and one person was evaluated by EMS on scene. Police also investigated seven non-reportable accidents in the same time frame.
This department issued six citations during the week of June 5th thru June 11th for summary arrests. Two were issued for Truancy, two for Retail Theft, one for Harassment and one for Cruelty to Animals.
Police are investigating a reported commercial burglary at Pilgrim Tours located on Main Street in Morgantown. Employees arrived at work in the morning and discovered items missing from the business. If anyone has information on this case, they are asked to contact the police at (610) 286-1012.
