POSITION: Part Time Certified Law Enforcement Officer
HOURS: Mostly 1800-0600 everyday, plus as needed to cover sick leave, vacations, training days, and special events. There may also be Saturday and Sunday 0600-1800 shifts available in the future.
PART TIME SALARY for 2022: Varies depending on level of experience $20.21-$31.20
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position involves protecting the public and preserving the peace. As a Police Officer, you need to interpret and enforce all applicable federal, state and local laws, general orders, directives, and policies and procedures of the Police Department. The Police Officer must be able to work independently under limited supervision. Part time officers work on an as needed basis that will include weekends and holidays. Applicants must have successfully passed the Municipal Police Officers’ Education & Training Commission (MPOETC) certification and obtained his ACT 120 certification number.
Must be a legal citizen of the United States. Must be 21 years or older. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License. Possess a Social Security Card. If previously a member of the Armed Forces of the United States, service and discharge must be honorable or under honorable conditions. Be of good moral character, having no felony convictions; no misdemeanor convictions involving moral character, perjury, or false statement.

The hiring process will include, interviews, background check, a medical and psychological exam.
