Suspicious Vehicle turns Unauthorized Use and Narcotics Offenses
On November 7th, patrol was notified by an off-duty officer of this department that there were two males unconscious in a vehicle outside of the Sheetz. Responding officer's arrived to check on their welfare. During the course of the encounter, drug paraphernalia was located in plain view near the driver who was identified as Kevin ROOT. During a consent search of the vehicle, officer's located a baggie of meth inside the glove box. Search incident to arrest of the driver, officer's located another baggie of meth inside of a pack of cigarettes on ROOT's person. Also taken into custody was the passenger, identified as Michael SEESE, for drug related offenses.
Further investigation by the responding officer's revealed that the vehicle's owner did not give permission for the occupants to operate it leading to additional charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Both subjects were transported to Central Processing for immediate arraignment.
