Case

UPDATE: The male has been identified and it has been confirmed that this incident was simply a misunderstanding. We are no longer looking to speak to this male and no crime has been committed. His photograph has been removed.

On Sunday, 9/1/2019, at approximately 11:00 AM, the unknown pictured male entered the McDonald's restaurant, 2730 Perkiomen Avenue, Saint Lawrence Borough and was seen by staff looking around and acting suspicious. He left the establishment without making a purchase and entered a silver four-door car (no further description) in the parking lot and an employee confronted the male and asked if they could help him with something. The male told the employee that he was there looking for a 15 year-old female employee because he was told to pick her up. The employee informed the male that the female was not working there at the time and the male left the area. Further investigation revealed that the female and her family do not know this male, he has no ties to the family, and no one would have told him to pick the female up. The male did mention the female's first name to the McDonald's employee. If anyone has any information on the identity of the pictured male, you are asked to submit a tip through our secure CRIMEWATCH portal or contact Officer John Verno of the Central Berks Regional Police Department at 610-779-1100 EXT. 243 or jverno@centralberks.org.
