On Sunday May 16th, 2021 the Douglass Township Police Department received a call from one of our residents and were advised there was someone tent camping on his property that connected to 141 Grist Mill Rd. It was clearly marked with No Trespassing/ Private Property Signage. Our officers attempted to make contact with the individual at approximately 1647 hours. At the time, the individual was not on location. Douglass Officer's left business cards for the individual in the hopes they would contact the department. Around 1850 hours a Justin Andrews made contact with one of our Officer's who advised him that he was trespassing on private property and that he needed to pack up his belongings and leave. Numerous chances were given to Andrews to leave. He refused to come out of the woods to speak with officers. Due to Andrews inability to cooperate and unsure if he had any weapons assistance from the Amity Township Police was requested and Andrews was eventually taken into custody without incident for Defiant Trespass. His belongings were removed and his vehicle was towed by Douglassville Auto Body.
