On Sunday, June 19th, 2022 at approximately 2214 hours, one of our Douglass Township Police officers was patrolling Ben Franklin Highway westbound. The officer observed a silver sedan pass their location. The officer ran the PA registration on the vehicle and realized that it did not belong on the car. A traffic stop was completed. The operator, who was identified as Jahrell Rashawn Sibilly stated that the vehicle was a rental car. The officer requested the operator's driver's license, registration, and insurance information. The operator again stated that it was a rental car. The officer asked if he had the rental agreement and the operator could not provide it. At this time all the operator could provide was his name and date of birth. While speaking with the operator the officer also noted that there was no valid inspection and or emission on the vehicle. The officer requested the operator step out to the back of the car for more questioning. While the operator was stepping out the officer observed in plain view a baggy with what looked like cocaine. At this time the contraband was seized along with the vehicle. A search warrant was conducted at a later time and evidence of drug activity was found. At this time charges for possession and paraphernalia and other traffic offenses will be completed for Jahrell Rashawn Sibilly.
