Notice to Douglass Township residents,
Douglass Township officers were notified by office staff regarding information on a previous Crime Watch post of suspicious males driving a white van and claiming that they worked for Met Ed.
Officers spoke with two males representing the company depicted in the Crime Watch post. These males confirmed that they worked for J.W Didado and provided paperwork confirming the company was sub-contracted by First Energy and Met-Ed. The two males stated they were completing a contract for both Met-Ed and First energy in the area for the next couple of months and will have multiple crews in the Boyertown/Douglassville areas. Their information was taken for future reference, and will be kept on file. If seen on property ask for name, company affiliation, phone number and take down license plates if able.
Douglass Township residents please be aware that there are Met-Ed and First energy sub-contracted agencies scheduled to work in the area from now until an undisclosed time in the future. If you have any questions or problems do not hesitate to contact the Douglass Township Police Department. We are here for you 24/7, 365 days a year and will be more than happy to assist you with whatever concerns you have.
