On 1/30/19 at 11:55 am, a Laureldale Police Officer saw a black colored Ford Ranger travelling through the 3400 block of Kutztown Road with what appeared to be a person sitting on a wheelchair in the rear bed of the truck. The truck was travelling at an estimated speed of 30 mph as the outside temperature was approximately twenty degrees with strong winds and icy roads. The officer stopped the vehicle, and observed a sixty-five year old man stand up and climb over the back tailgate. The driver was identified as Kerry Drexel. Kerry Drexel told the officer that the man in the rear bed of the truck was his brother who sat in the bed of the truck since there was no room to sit inside the truck. Charges of Recklessly endangering another person and a expired inspection violation were filed through District Justice Dean Patton's office.
