Myself and the entire Laureldale Police Department wanted to assure our residents that we have been and will continue to patrol, serve and provide some normalcy to the residents of the borough. More than ever in these stressful times it is vitally important to maintain a police presence.
To minimize exposure to our residents and officers, our department has taken steps to add additional means to receive, respond and complete residents call for service.
- Telephone assignments – if a call for police service is non-emergency or urgent in nature, in progress or requiring an in-person officer we encourage residents to call our department to complete the assignment.
- On-Line Reporting - if a call for police service is non-emergency or urgent in nature, in progress or requiring an in-person officer we offer residents the option of submitting an on-line report to our department to complete the assignment.
- Officer Response – a all other types of calls for police service, emergency, urgent in nature, in progress. If possible, to be mindful of social distancing, we request that you meet the officer outside of your residence.
We have implemented all practical safety protocols within the police department. Officers have personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitize the vehicles and police offices each shift. Our goal is to continue police operations in the safest possible manner for both the residents and officers. Do not hesitate to contact us with questions or concerns and above all else be safe and take care of your families.
