 
From June 3 through June 15 local film maker, Harrison Stengle, will be filming a nighttime World War I action movie about Sgt. Henry Johnson.
On the night of May 15, 1918, Sgt. Johnson’s actions earned him the nickname “Black Death”. Some 97 years after his combat service, the Defense Department reviewed Johnson's records and recommended him for the Medal of Honor. It was presented by President Barack Obama in 2015.
The filming will take place in a large, wooded area located along the 700 Block of Green Hills Road. During the hours of 9 PM till 5 AM, there will be gunfire and explosive events occurring.
Residents who reside in close proximity of this event may hear the sounds of the pyrotechnics (gunfire and explosions) which are being used during the filming of this movie.
The Robeson Township Police Department, Cumru Township Police Department, local Fire Departments, EMS and the Berks County Department of Emergency Services have been notified of this filming event.
