On 05/18/2019 a South Heidelberg Police Officer observed Alexander Weatherholtz walking in a residential neighborhood with a book bag. The Officer engaged in a mere encounter with WEATHERHOLTZ. The Officer asked for consent to search WEATHERHOLTZ's book bag and WEATHERHOLTZ agreed to the search. Inside of the book bag, the South Heidelberg Police Officer located $118905 in counterfeit United States currency in various denominations ranging from $100, $50, $20, $10, and $5. The South Heidelberg Police Officer also located 5 prints of the back side of $20 denominations. The South Heidelberg Police Officer located 97 blank sheets of paper. Finally, the South Heidelberg Police Officer located a sheet of paper with information for a printer and IP address.
The South Heidelberg Police Officer contacted the United States Secret Service. Special Agents from the Secret Service confirmed the $118905 was all counterfeit United States currency. WEATHERHOLTZ was interviewed by the South Heidelberg Police Department and United States Secret Service. WEATHERHOLTZ advised he possessed the counterfeit currency to make himself feel good, to give the counterfeit currency to friends, to someday start up a business of selling the counterfeit currency on Amazon and E-bay as movie prop money, and to purchase illegal narcotics.
On 06/12/2019 MDJ Brian Strand signed an arrest warrant for WEATHERHOLTZ for one count of forgery and one count of possessing instrument of a crime.
