Security Alarm Information Form

South Heidelberg Township Ordinance No. 119 as amended by Ordinance No. 145 was enacted for the purpose of regulating audible/inaudible fire and police and alarm systems.  

Section 5, Part C of Ordinance No. 119 has been amended by Ordinance No. 145 as follows:  “Where a fire and/or police response is involved, a service charge . . . may be imposed beginning with the fourth (4th) accidental or improper discharge of an audible/inaudible alarm system involving the same address and the same owner and/or occupant; provided, however, that if the same alarm system involving the same address and the same owner and/or occupant is free from accidental or improper discharge for a continuous period of one year, any accidental or improper discharges prior to said one year period will be disregarded in calculating the discharge upon charge may begin to be imposed.”

For each accidental or improper discharge of an audible/inaudible alarm system beginning with the 4th accidental/improper discharge will be $75.00 billed to the owner of that system.  

South Heidelberg Township Police require that all business and residential security alarms be registered with the Police Department. Registering your security alarm system provides the South Heidelberg Township Police Department with important contact information if an alarm or emergency occurs at your business or residence.   Please complete and return the attached form to the South Heidelberg Township Building located at 555A Mountain Home Road, Sinking Spring PA 19608
