On March 13, 2023, members of the Berks County Human Trafficking Task Force along with the Department of Homeland Security conducted an undercover operation within Berks County to combat sex trade in the area. Undercover task force detectives placed ads on websites commonly used for sex trade. The individuals replied to the advertisements and agreed to meet and have sexual relations with minors at a predetermined location in Berks County. When the individuals arrived at the location they were placed under arrest. As a result of the operation, Joshua SPENCER was arrested for Trafficking in Individuals and other related offenses. SPENCER was transported to the Berks County Central Processing Center.
