On Monday January 16th, 2023 at approximately 1102 AM, personnel from the Township of Spring conducted a traffic stop on Route 222 South, near the Adamstown exit. Subsequent to the stop, the occupant of the vehicle became the subject of an investigation, leading to a search warrant being executed on the vehicle. As a result of the warrant the following items were seized:
A Taurus 45 caliber semi-automatic hand gun with magazine and ammunition
A Smith & Wesson 9 MM semi-automatic handgun with magazine and ammunition. This handgun was reported stolen out of Philadelphia.
A quantity of suspected cocaine in excess of 275 Grams
A quantity of suspected methamphetamine in excess of 470 Grams
A quantity of suspected heroin in excess of 150 grams
A quantity of suspected marijuana in excess of 115 grams
In excess of 90 tablets of suspected Xanax, in containers with no prescription labels
A quantity of prescription medications with no identifying labels
Quantities of plastic and wax bags known to be used for the packaging and sales of illegal narcotics
A digital scale with residue
The suspect, Nasir YOUNG, 27 YOA, of Philadelphia, was charged with Firearms and Drug related offenses. YOUNG was arraigned at CPC by MDJ Yoch.
