On Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at approximately 2:55 PM, WRPD Officers were dispatched to a disorderly male at a business in the 300 block of Penn Avenue. The male was reported to be refusing to leave the store. Officers responded and came in contact with the male, later identified as Jose A. LEBRON-VAZQUEZ. Upon arrival, Officers found LEBRON-VAZQUEZ now was sitting on the ground and in need of medical assistance. The Officers assisted LEBRON-VAZQUEZ medically until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived. Officers conducted a follow-up investigation and found that LEBRON-VAZQUEZ had driven a vehicle into the business lot (he was later found to have a suspended Pennsylvania driver's license) and he was found to be the only occupant of that vehicle. As Officers continued their investigation, they located a handgun inside the vehicle. LEBRON-VAZQUEZ was found to not have a permit to carry a concealed firearm. Officers also located suspected heroin and a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle. LEBRON-VAZQUEZ was transported to the hospital by EMS and treated. At the completion of the investigation, the listed charges were filed before the District Justice.
