On October 04, 2020 at approximately 1:53 AM, the WRPD was dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of South 3rd Avenue for a report of a domestic assault. WRPD Officers responded, arrived and located the involved individuals. An investigation was conducted and an involved male, identified as Nolan D. PONTON Jr., was found to have assaulted a known victim. PONTON threw a dog leash at the victim which struck her in the nose and then shoved/pushed her in the dining room area, causing her to fall over a chair and strike her head on a radiator. The victim sustained bruising on the bridge of her nose and red marks with swelling on the top of her head due to PONTON's actions. PONTON was arrested, charged and arraigned for the listed charges filed before the District Justice.
