SHPD is proud to announce the well-deserved promotions of Detective Robert Heiden to Detective Sergeant and Officer Alex Doelp to Corporal.  Both officers successfully completed a rigorous selection process, which included a written test and multiple interview boards. Following this, they each served a one-year probationary period in their new roles.  On August 26, 2025, these officers were officially promoted by the South Heidelberg Board of Supervisors, signifying the successful completion of their selection process.

These promotions are crucial to Chief Hook’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the SHPD's leadership, ensuring the department continues to provide exceptional police services to the community.

SHPD looks forward to the continued contributions of Detective Sergeant Heiden and Corporal Doelp to the leadership team.  We celebrate the fantastic work they have already accomplished in their new roles and their unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community we serve.
