On February 20, 2025, the Caernarvon Township Police Department received a report of stolen checks from the Morgantown Family Practice located at 4103 Main Street, Caernarvon Township, Berks County. The complainant reported that seven checks were placed in the unsecured mailbox on Monday evening and were stolen the next day. One of the stolen checks was altered and cashed at a bank in Philadelphia.

The investigation revealed that the forged check, #1050, was cashed in the amount of $1,663.28, made out to Brittany N. BERGER of Jonestown, PA 17038. 

Through further investigation, it was determined that the check was cashed at the Fishtown Branch in Philadelphia on 02/18/25 at 1620 hours by a white female who presented a PA ID of Brittany N BERGER. The suspect's identity was confirmed through booking images.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
