Closure of all Non-Essential Businesses

By the order of Governor Tom Wolf, all non-life sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania are to close their physical locations as of 8 p.m. on March 19 to slow the spread of COVID-19. To request a waiver to keep your location open, please submit the following form. All decisions will be communicated by email and will balance public health, safety, and the security of our industry supply chains supporting life sustaining businesses.

The Caernarvon Township Police Department is receiving numerous calls regarding businesses remaining open in violation of Governor Wolf’s Order. We have been issuing warnings so far. If we continue to find the same businesses in violation of the order, enforcement action will be taken in way of fines. Please help keep us and everyone else safe and follow the shutdown order to help stop the spread of COVID-19. It is up to everyone to take the necessary steps to slow and stop this spread.

Berks County is also under a stay at home order ending on April 30th. All individuals in counties subject to this policy must STAY AT HOME except for certain essential activities and work to provide life-sustaining business and government services.
