'Tis the season we begin to see a rise in reports of theft of packages. Below are some ways to prevent becoming a victim of these thefts.

·         Check tracking numbers to see when a package is scheduled to be delivered. If you will not be home during that time, ask a neighbor you trust to safekeep the package until you return home.

·         Ship your packages to a location that you will be at during the day, such as your workplace.  

·         Add delivery instructions to leave the package in a specified location.

·         Request a signature at delivery.

·         Utilize a secure location for delivery such as Amazon Locker or the UPS store.

·         Install a security camera/ring doorbell by your front door.

·         Keep porch light on or have motion detectors.
