Attention Borough Residents!
Recently the WRPD received a few donated gifts from the North Pole. We would like to give these gifts to children in the Borough of West Reading.
To do this, we are requesting Borough children, with their parents’ permission, write a short letter explaining what they love the most about the Holidays. Letters will be collected starting Thursday, December 1st through Thursday, December 15th at the WRPD between 8am and 5pm. The letters can be placed inside a special mailbox which we received from North Pole (pictured below). The mailbox is located inside the WRPD lobby. Once the letter is dropped off, please notify our staff at the front desk to receive a small gift from the WRPD.
Once all letters are received, they will be read by “Santa’s little helpers”, and they will pick the top letters. Children with the top letters will receive one of the gifts that was dropped off for us. Parents of the selected children will be contacted by our department, so that arrangements can be made to have the gifts picked up. One of the unwrapped gifts is pictured.
